Description

Bay Tree Cottage is a house dated 1765, situated on the east side of Tothill Street, Minster. It is constructed of brown brick with a plain tiled roof. The building has a basement, two storeys, a plinth, and a hipped roof with stacks to the end on the left and the rear right. The windows are regularly spaced and include 2 glazing bar sashes and a small central wooden casement on the first floor, paired with 2 glazing bar sashes on the ground floor. A half-glazed and panelled door is centrally placed within a fine moulded surround topped with a flat hood. Basement openings are present to the left and right of the building. A plaque below the central first-floor window is inscribed with the initials "C R J 1765".
