Description

This chest tomb, dating from around 1700, is located about 20 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. Laurence. Made of stone, it features moulded surrounds on the side panels and a moulded top slab. The long side panels are decorated with double crossed bones and a central skull, while the end panels display winged hourglasses, all rendered in a large scale and heavy relief. This tomb is considered one of the more unusual and outstanding examples in the churchyard.
