Description

This headstone, dated 1739, is fixed to the churchyard wall about 25 metres south of the Church of St. Laurence. It stands approximately 3 feet high and features an inscription plaque that is largely illegible, with enriched side pieces. The headstone has a rocaille scalloped head with a broken outline, which contains a shallow relief depicting Adam and Eve along with the serpent and apple tree. This motif is unique among churchyard monuments in this area.
