Description
The Look Out House and Stores, located on The Pier in Broadstairs, is a late 18th century to early 19th century building that stands two storeys tall and is weatherboarded. It consists of two parallel ranges; the left side has a half-hipped slate roof, while the right side features a hipped slate roof. Facing the harbour on the right side, there is a first-floor barn door with a wooden staircase leading up to it. Above the door, there is a ship's figurehead depicting a bust of a Grecian warrior wearing a lion skin. To the left of the door, there is another figurehead of a Scotsman. The rear range includes a continuous casement window, and there is a depth gauge on the front elevation facing Harbour Street. The building has group value with Admiralty Cottage.
