Description

This is a terrace of three houses, built around 1840 in Ramsgate. The buildings are constructed of stock brick, with some parts rendered, and have a slate roof. They are three storeys high with a basement. The front is divided into three parts, each with a rendered base, a horizontal band under the windows, and a moulded cornice above the parapet. Chimneys are located on the left and right-hand sides. Each house has two sash windows with vertical glazing bars on the first and second floors; the reveals and frames are painted. The ground floor has larger sash windows, and each house has a panelled and half-glazed door with a rectangular fanlight above. Number 21 has a fanlight with decorative margin lights. Basement openings are located beneath the ground floor sashes, and number 21 has a sash window with glazing bars. A footscraper is set into the floor by the door at number 21. Number 21 is linked by a 20th-century passageway to Cavendish Villas to the left.
