Description
Lancaster House is a Grade II listed building located in Serene Place, Broadstairs. Built for Samuel Lancaster, who died in 1824, this two-storey house features a basement and is faced with flints. It has buff brick quoins and window dressings, along with a slate roof that includes two dormers with sliding sashes. The building is topped with a parapet and has three cambered sashes with intact glazing bars. The left side of the house features a doorcase with a cornice and pilasters, leading to a six-panelled door, where the top two panels are cut away and glazed, with panelled reveals. Lancaster House is part of a group of listed buildings that includes Nos 9, 11A, 11B and 15 High Street, as well as Nos 3 to 5 (consecutive) Raglan Place.
