Description
The railed chest tomb and two wall plaques are located about 25 metres northeast of the Church of St Laurence. The tomb is dedicated to Mary Kent, who died in 1820. It features a stepped base supporting a sarcophagus on pedestal feet, with Greek key designs on the corner piers and a raised top slab. The tomb is enclosed by spear head rails with baluster finials.
The wall plaques commemorate Jane Hooper, who died in 1782, and the Winter family. Each plaque has a plinth with fluted Doric pilasters and swan-necked pediments. The plaque for Jane Hooper includes a winged cherub head, and both plaques feature winged cherub heads at the top of their inscription areas.
