Description

Downsells Cottages are a pair of cottages dating to circa 1700, although they were re-clad in the 19th century. The cottages have a timber frame and are clad with painted brick, with a birchwood frame applied to the first floor. They have a thatched roof, a central stack, and two wooden casement windows on each floor. There are board doors to the left and right of the cottages. The buildings are included on the heritage listing primarily for their group value.
