Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century, with early 19th-century cladding. It features a timber frame set on a flint plinth, and is clad with chequered brick and tile hung on the left return front. The building has two storeys and a hipped roof with gablets, and there are stacks at both the left and right ends. Each floor has two wood casement windows. A 20th-century panelled door is located in a hipped porch on the left return front. Inside, there is evidence of jettying, cambered tie-beams, and remains of mullioned and shuttered window openings. The cottage also has a flint cellar with a vaulted well cover and a partially in-filled well shaft.
