Description

Oakwood Gate Cottage is a house dating from the early 17th century with some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick, with parts painted and plastered, and features a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and a garret, sitting on a plinth with a plat band and a dogtooth cornice. A stack projects from the right end. There are two brick mullioned windows on each floor, and a central door made of planks and studs, set within an arched surround. At the rear right, there is a catslide outshot. To the left, a 20th-century gabled crosswing and car-port have been added.
