Description

This is a house located at 8 Ashford Road, dating from the 16th century with alterations and extensions made in the early 18th century. The building features a timber frame that is partially exposed on the lower ground floor, with painted brick infill and weatherboarding above. It has a plain tiled roof that is hipped with a gablet on the right side and steps up to the left, where it is half-hipped. There are stacks located to the center left and a projecting stack at the end right. The house has three hipped dormers and three wooden casement windows on the ground floor, along with a boarded door set in a gabled porch to the center right. Additionally, there is a half-glazed door and a side window in a hipped outshot on the left.
