Description
Mann's Place is a 15th-century hall house located on Silver Street in Bredgar. It features a timber frame that is clad with red brick and plaster, topped by a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and a hipped roof, with projecting stacks on both the left and right sides, as well as a central stack. The first floor has five wood casements, while the ground floor has four, along with a central board door that has a flat hood and an additional board door to the right.
Inside, some original mullioned windows can still be seen at the rear. The presence of dragon beams and posts suggests that the ends of the building were once jettied. There are also remnants of a central recessed and coved hall. Modifications to the stack and ceilings were made in the 17th century.
