Description

This stable block, located 30 yards east of West Tonge Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red and yellow stock brick with a plain tiled roof. The building stands two storeys high on a plinth and features five pilaster strips that frame the entrances. To the left, there is a boarded door that may serve as a saddlery or game larder, while to the right, there is a boarded half door with a loft door positioned above it. The centre and right sides of the building each have two semi-circular windows. This structure is included for its group value.
