Description
Teynham Court is a house that dates from the 16th century and the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick, rendered, with a plain tiled roof. The rear features a timber-framed and tile-hung range. The early 19th-century front has two storeys and a basement, set on a plinth with a hipped roof and a stack at the rear center. There are three glazing bar sash windows on each floor, with the central ground floor window set in a blocked double-recessed semi-circular arched doorway that includes a semi-circular fanlight. The rear range is from the 16th century and includes a cross-wing with heavily moulded interior beams. Access to the house is now through a panelled door in the rear range.
