Description

This is a mid-19th century oast house located about 10 metres west of Gosmere Farmhouse. It is constructed from red and blue brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and box eaves, which are adorned with cast iron guttering that has lion-head bosses. On the front, there are two segmental-headed wooden casements, a central boarded door, and cart doors to the right. An external stair is positioned on the left side, leading to the upper level. The left return of the building is made of massive granite blocks set on a red brick base. To the right, there is a roundel with a tile roof, although the cowl is missing.
