Description

Oast Cottage is a house dating from the 15th century. It features a timber frame that is exposed, with painted brick infill on the ground floor and plaster infill on the first floor. The roof is plain tiled. The building has a four-framed bay end-jettied hall house plan and stands two storeys high, with end jetties on the left and an underbuilt section on the right. The roof is hipped, and there is a cluster of stacks on the right side. On the first floor, there are three wooden casements, and to the right, there is a five-light mullioned window. The ground floor has two wooden casements and a boarded door on the end right. At the rear, several mullioned windows are either original or have been restored.
