Description

2 and 4 Water Lane are timber-framed cottages that have been refronted with cement on the ground floor, while the upper floor features weather-boarding, maintaining the overhang of the first floor. The cottages have a tiled roof and are two storeys high, with two windows. The ground floor has sash windows with intact glazing bars, and the upper floor has casement windows. These cottages were originally part of the same building as number 17 Ospringe Street. Inside, there are curved four-centred braces similar to those found on the north and east fronts of number 17, and above these braces, there is a row of small four-centred windows.
