Description

This is an 18th-century house located on Ospringe Street. It is a two-story building with an attic, originally featuring five windows and now with three dormers. The house is constructed of red brick, with a brick string course and a wooden eaves cornice decorated with modillions. The roof is tiled, though the front section has been replaced with slates. The original windows retain their glazing bars; those on the ground floor have cambered head linings. A porch with Doric columns and a pediment fronts the main entrance, which features a rectangular fanlight and a door composed of six fielded panels. A single-story addition, dating to the 19th century, is attached to the east end and connects to the west wall of the adjacent property at No. 9. This addition has a red brick façade and five windows retaining their glazing bars, capped by a slate gabled roof. Numbers 1 to 19, odd, are designated as a group.
