Description

The Anchor Hotel, located at 33 Ospringe Street, is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys high with an attic. It features two windows and two dormers, with a pebble-dash exterior and a parapet. The first floor retains its glazing bars, while the ground floor has two modern bay windows. A small porch with Doric columns and a projecting cornice leads to a door with six fielded panels. The front of the building once displayed the words "Coach Office," as it was situated along the main road from London to Canterbury, known as Watling Street. The hotel is part of a group that includes Nos 31 to 45 (odd).
