Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a restored small farmhouse dating from the late 15th century or early 16th century. It is two storeys high and has three windows. The building features a high-pitched tiled roof that is hipped at the right, with a chimney stack on the right ridge. The cottage has small modern leaded casements and a modern square bay window on the ground floor. The visible timber framing includes brick filling on the returns, and the roof sweeps low behind the structure. Inside, there is a narrow smoke bay at the north end where a chimney was later inserted, and the roof has side purlins with wind braces.
