Description

Dormers and Dormers Cottage is a large private house with an 18th-century core, extended in the early to mid-19th century with two-storey, two-window additions. Further additions from the 19th century include weatherboarded coach houses to the right and late 19th-century bay windows. The original 18th-century section of the house is roughcast, featuring moulded eaves and a gutter with a ridge tile roof, as well as two pedimented dormers. A moulded cornice runs above the first-floor windows. Various 18th-century sash windows retain bars, alongside a 19th-century tiled projecting bay on the ground floor and a mix of 19th and modern square-paned casement windows. The property forms a group with the King’s Head Public House, garden wall at Heath Cottage, and Bessels Cottage.
