Description
Nos 2 to 5 Chevening Road are a mid to late 19th century double-span row of cottages. Each cottage is two storeys high with two windows and features a fairly high-pitched tiled roof. The cottages are constructed from red brick with a pattern of blue headers, and they have a first-floor band as well as a galleted rubble plinth. The windows and doors have chamfered brick hoodmoulds, with the doors set in projecting brick cases. The first-floor windows are half dormers with gables above that break the eaves. The cottages also have cast iron casements with bars. There is a short length of a latticed, low brick wall to the left and a longer section to the right. These cottages are included for their group value with Nos 1 to 12 Chevening Road, the garden wall to Nos 10 to 12, and Lennard Lodge.
