Description
Oveny Green Farmhouse is a Grade II listed double span house built in 1701 by Thomas Lord Dacre, Earl of Sussex. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring three windows. The farmhouse is topped with a high-pitched, swept tiled roof that has end chimneys and a coved plastered eaves soffit. There is a later central tiled dormer added to the roof. The exterior is made of red brick with a pattern of blue headers, and it has been restored in places. A band runs along the first floor. The windows are recessed sash types with glazing bars, except for a 19th-century casement window in the centre of the first floor and a 19th-century canted bay window on the ground floor to the right. To the right of the farmhouse, there is a pent extension with a low-sweeping roof. The rear elevation has five windows with cambered arches on the ground floor. Oveny Green Farmhouse, along with the stable and barn, forms a group.
