Description
Alms Row Cottages is a range of cottages that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with some alterations. The building is two storeys high and features four irregularly placed windows. It has a high-pitched tiled roof with two ridge stacks. The first floor showcases exposed timber framing with plaster filling and 19th-century casement windows that break the eaves. The ground floor is constructed of 19th-century red brick with black bands, while No. 8 is painted. This cottage has 19th-century casements and a projecting square bay. The doors are of two large, boarded panels, and No. 8 has a half-glazed door. Alms Row Cottages, along with Haynes Cottages, form a cohesive group.
