Description

The oast houses and cooling shed located to the northwest of Filston Hall Farmhouse date from the mid to late 19th century. There are four oasts with a cooling shed on the southwest side. They are constructed from handmade brick with a flint foundation and feature tiled roofs. The oasts have conical roofs topped with wooden cowls and brick cornices that vary in design, including one with diagonal brickwork. These structures are still in use today.
