Description

Gates, gate piers, and a short section of wall dating to circa 1869. The gate piers are made of cast iron, featuring moulded plinths, panelled square shafts, and moulded cornices. The cornices have stylised swan-neck pediments at both the front and rear, topped with ball finials. The elaborate cast iron gates have dograils, scrolled borders, and an overthrow featuring scrollwork and cast iron foliage. The gates incorporate central motifs of entwined initials and foliage. A curved section of ragstone walling, approximately 5 feet in length, is set against stone cornices on either side.
