Description

The archway connecting to the Almshouses, dated 1890, is an ornamental stone structure located to the right of the school courtyard, leading to the new school hall at the rear of the Almshouses. It features a four-centred arch with a central carved voussoir, a broken dentilled entablature, a dentilled racking cornice, and an ornamental carved tympanum. The archway is supported by rusticated stone pilasters. This structure is part of a group that includes the Almshouses associated with Sevenoaks School, although it does not include the modern school buildings located behind.
