Description

13 High Street is a 17th-century building that was originally an inn but is now divided into five houses. It features a timber-framed structure with a three-bay facade and stands two storeys tall. The large central gable projects and is adorned with fishscale tile-hanging on the first floor, which over-sails slightly. There are supporting wings on either side, each with plain tile hanging on the first floor. The roof has continuous ridge tiles, is half hipped to the left, and includes a ridge stack to the left of the central gables.

The ground floor has a 19th-century shop front with projecting splayed shop windows that have stucco fronts, along with a plain boarded shop door in the center. The first floor is tile-hung and features a slight pentice that projects over the shop front. To the left on the first floor, there is a small lattice casement window, while to the right, a larger mullioned lattice casement window is topped with a tiled eave that forms a half dormer. The eaves do not have gutters. The roof is again described with ridge tiles, half hipped to the left, and a ridge stack located to the right.
