Description

The Old Cottage is an 18th-century building located on Swanley Village Road. It has an L-shaped design and stands two storeys tall, with a combination of brick and weatherboarded exterior. The roof is tiled, and the weatherboarded section features a half-hipped gable. The cottage has four casement windows, a simple doorcase, and a curved bow window. The brick section includes additional casement windows and an external brick chimneystack. Historical records suggest that this cottage may have once belonged to Cobham College, as it is mentioned in a Land Tax Assessment from 1780.
