Description
The Old Place is a building constructed between 1826 and 1829, located on the south side of Swanley Village Road. It features a front elevation made of buff brick and is two storeys high, with a plinth and a hipped slate roof. The facade includes two casement windows and one sash window with 'Gothick' glazing. There is a later weather porch added to the front. To the left, there is a modern one-storey brick extension with an old tiled roof and a weatherboarded gable. The right side elevation has three sash windows and one blank space, all with cambered heads and intact glazing bars, with part of this elevation also being weatherboarded. A two-storey tower is situated on the right side, which has windows only on the ground floor. The interior is reported to include a powder closet.
