Description

Lock Skinners Cottage is part of Lock Skinners Farmhouse, a house dating from the 16th century or earlier, originally built as a timber-framed hall house with later modifications. The building is two storeys and an attic, with a four-window front and an irregular layout. It has a half-hipped tiled roof with a returned gable ended extension and two dormers with raised eaves. The first floor is tile hung, while the ground floor is brick. Casement windows are present. Inside, features include an inglenook fireplace and numerous exposed beams, along with a crown post roof.
