Description
Three Locks Cottage is a house that was formerly a lock-keeper's cottage, built in the early to mid-19th century and altered in 1906. The exterior features whitewashed roughcast, dentil brick eaves, and a hipped slate roof, with a whitewashed brick chimney situated between the right bays. The building has two storeys and a basement, comprising three bays. On the ground floor, there is a paired barred wooden casement window to the left, a canted bay window in the centre, and a barred sash window to the right, which has an ornamental blind box. The right-hand windows are fitted with shutters that have pierced heart motifs. The first floor contains two barred horizontal sliding sash windows in the right bays. A four-panelled door with a segmental head is located between the right bays, accompanied by a lean-to timber porch. There is also a door leading to the basement in the right end wall.
