Description

The Grand Union Canal Locks 24, 25, and 26 are a flight of three locks built around 1800, with some later repairs. They feature brick retaining walls topped with stone coping. There are two pairs of gates equipped with sluices and winding gear, with the quoins dated between 1865 and 1879. One of the gates was renewed in 1978. Each lock has steps on both sides at the north-west end and includes two side ponds with sluices to the south. Additionally, there are 16 cast iron bollards present.
