Description
Ivy Cottage and Tudor Cottage is a 16th-century framed structure that is L-shaped in plan. The building features a weatherboarded elevation facing the street, with an external projecting brick chimney stack and a rendered plinth. The east elevation has a first floor that oversails, while the ground floor is constructed of flint rubble with red brick dressing and red brick above. The west elevation showcases exposed framing with plaster infilling. The property includes various 19th-century casement windows and stands two storeys high, with a half dormer on the side. The roof is tiled and hipped on the right side. On the left return, there are two tiny paired gables. This building may be part of a hall house, although some sections have been lost over time.
