Description

Fridays Cottage is a 16th or 17th century timber-framed and plastered building located on Wakes Colne Lane Road. It is two storeys high and has an L-shaped plan. The ground floor features a central front door flanked by two sets of modern casement windows. The rear wing is taller and consists of one bay, topped with a large red brick chimney stack. The roofs are ridged and gabled with eaves, covered in peg tiles. Notable architectural details include heavy framing that protrudes at the eaves and a "reversed assembly" at the return of the roof plan.
