Description

Old Gables is a 17th-century house located in Wakes Colne. It is timber framed and plastered, consisting of three bays and one storey with attics. There is a crosswing at the south end of the building. The existing windows are modern leaded casements. The roof is ridged and gabled, thatched, and features a red brick chimney stack at the angle of the T-plan. The heavy oak frame is visible on the gable of the crosswing. Additionally, there is a pantiled extension at the rear of the crosswing.
