Description
This is a building of varying dates, incorporating a possible C16 timber-framed core. The main east-facing elevation is two storeys and has a three-window centre, appearing C18 in style, but with later rendering. It has a moulded eaves cornice and a tiled roof. To the right is a two-storey canted bay constructed of yellow brick, and to the left a similar bay of random rubble, both dating from the early C19 and with hipped tiled roofs. The windows are mostly sash windows, some with glazing bars. Inside, there is a good C16 beamed ceiling. A link on the south side connects to Coachman’s Cottage, a two-storey, two-window building constructed of flint rubble with red brick dressings. This section incorporates stabling on the ground floor, and has a brick dentil eaves cornice and a tiled roof, with a lean-to extension to the right. It features C19 casement windows and stable doors. An ornamental bust is set into a flint rubble panel at first-floor centre.
