Description

The Mill is a disused paper mill located on Mill Lane in Shoreham. The building features elevations of painted brick and weatherboarding and stands two storeys tall with projecting boarded eaves and a hip tiled roof. It has various 18th and 19th century sash windows with bars intact, along with one small 18th century hip tiled dormer. The Mill, which also includes the mill house, has an irregular shape, and part of the building facing the river extends over the first floor. The structure clearly incorporates a medieval framed element, with elevations that reflect a late 18th and early 19th century character. The interior, dating from around 1820, is noted to be pleasant.
