Description

Orchard House is a 18th century building located on the south side of High Street in Leigh. It features a front that dates from the 18th century, but it is part of an older timber-framed structure. The house is two storeys tall and has three windows. It has a high-pitched, hipped tiled roof, with the first floor being tile hung and the ground floor made of brick. The windows are sash style with glazing bars set in near-flush moulded frames. There is a modern shop that projects in front of the two left ground floor bays. On the right side, there is a panelled door topped with a radial fanlight and a semicircular pedimented hood supported by pilasters.
