Description

Chilling House is a building from 1846 located on the south side of High Street in Leigh. It has two storeys and features three windows. The roof is fairly low-pitched and hipped, covered with slate and has eaves soffit. The building is constructed of red brick and has gauged brick arches above the sash windows, which include glazing bars. The ground floor windows are tripartite, and there are side windows set in two-storey recessed panels. The entrance features a six-panel door, which is top glazed, and is framed by a stuccoed entablature surround with a cornice hood.
