Description

The Old Farm is a small timber-framed house dating from the 17th century or earlier, located on Cow Lane in Markbeech, Cowden. The garden front features two storeys and two windows, with a right extension that is also two storeys but has only one window. It has a high-pitched tiled roof that sweeps low on the road front. The first floor is weatherboarded, while the ground floor is made of painted brick. The windows are leaded iron casements, and there is a plank door. To the left, there is a one-storey extension that is covered by the continued roof. Inside, the house includes an inglenook and heavy chamfered beams.
