Description

Pile Gate Farmhouse is an 18th-century house, likely incorporating older fabric. It is two storeys high with three windows. The roof is hipped and tiled, with a central chimney stack. The eaves have a visible soffit. The first floor is tile hung, while the ground floor is rendered. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set in exposed moulded frames. A projecting porch was added in the early 19th century; it has a hipped slate roof and fluted columns. Rear extensions were added in the mid-19th century.
