Description

Southlands is a restored late medieval hall house, featuring two storeys and four irregularly placed windows. The building has a tiled roof, with a modern gable-ended addition on the right and a lean-to on the side. The first floor is tile-hung, with a visible rail below, while the ground floor is constructed of brick. The windows are mostly modern leaded casements, although a few date back to the 17th century. A large projecting chimney is located at the rear, with coursed freestone at the lower part and brick above, topped with tiled offsets. Inside, there is much exposed timber and plank and muntin panelling.
