Description

A timber-framed cottage, dating to the 16th century or earlier, and subsequently restored, now forming a U-shaped layout. The oldest part, located centrally, displays square framing. A left projecting wing features close-set vertical timbering, likely from the 16th century. A right projecting wing represents a modern reproduction. Both wings are gabled. The walls are largely filled with plaster. Modern leaded casement windows have been introduced. The first floor on the South side is tile hung. The interior reveals extensive exposed timber and includes an inglenook. A Tudor chimney stack is situated in the central section, although the roof has undergone alterations. The left section of the roof retains a queen post roof with wind braces.
