Description

These railings, located about 3 metres east of Vine House, date from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are made of painted iron and are set on a low stone-coped red brick plinth. The railings span the front elevation of Vine House and curve back away from the road towards the outer ends of the house's flanking walls. The design features spear-head railings, newels with urn finials, and curved rear supports. There is a central pedestrian gateway that matches the height and style of the railings, as well as similar gateways in front of each flanking doorway.
