Description
Little South Street Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th century, which was restored in 1827. It features a timber frame with pebbledash and has a rear elevation made of painted brick in Flemish bond. The roof is covered with plain tiles and is hipped at both ends, leaving a short ridge. The cottage stands two storeys high on a plinth and has a projecting red brick chimney stack on the left, along with another red brick stack in a lean-to on the right. The front has two three-light leaded casement windows and a ribbed door from the 19th or 20th century, which is set in a rendered rear porch that has a gable and a hood-mould over the door. A datestone from 1827 is located at the centre of the front elevation. The cottage is marked as Tudor Lawn on the Ordnance Survey map.
