Description
Parsonage Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the 17th century in several stages, with part of it dated 1636. The building features red brick in mixed bonds and has a plain tile roof. The east elevation has two storeys sitting on a plinth, with the left half displaying a string-course and a straight joint separating the left and right halves. There is an off-centre brick ridge stack to the left of the left half and another stack at the left end of the right half. The roof is hipped at the right end, with the hip returning as the pitch of a wing behind. The fenestration is irregular, consisting of three casements.
At the left end, there is a gault brick addition with a brick end stack, a two-light casement, and a boarded door. The right return elevation is made of red brick with occasional grey headers and features three two-light sliding sashes. There is a restored projecting brick porch towards the right end, which has a datestone above the door: TH. The porch has a boarded door under a 20th-century arch. At the rear, there is a brick lean-to. To the right of the porch, there is a taller gabled wing with a brick stack projecting to the right side elevation.
