Description
The table tomb to the Dunning family dates from the late 18th century or mid 19th century and is located one yard east of the obelisk monument to the Dunning family in the churchyard of St Mary and All Saints. It is constructed of stone on a stone base, featuring a moulded base and a corniced lid. The sides have recessed panels designed as broad fluted pilasters with gadrooned bases and plain stepped capitals. The central panels display delicately fluted rays radiating from a central elongated oval that bears inscriptions. The date of death on the west side is 1802, while the south side commemorates William Alexander Dunning, who died in 1818 (the last digit is uncertain). The east side has an inscription with a date of death that is partially obscured, and the north side notes a death in 1799. At the time of resurvey, the inscriptions were barely legible.
