Description

The Duncall table tomb, located 10 metres south of the east bay of the nave of St. Oswald's Church, is a Grade II listed structure dating from 1694. It is made of sandstone and features an oval panel on top with an illegible weathered inscription. The north side of the tomb includes an inscription that reads "Son of Richard Duncall..." and commemorates Elizabeth, daughter of Richard Duncall of Malpass, who died on the 11th day of July 1694. The east end of the tomb honors Richard, son of Thomas Tomkinson of Cholmondeley, who died on the 12th day of September, in the year 1712 (the year is somewhat uncertain).
