Description
The churchyard wall located between the south-east gates and the Motte in Malpas is approximately 1 metre high and likely dates from the early 19th century, although it is built on an older boundary. The wall is constructed of coursed red sandstone and features two incised stone plaques. The plaque on the left commemorates Joseph Birchall and John Caldecott, who were church wardens in 1818. The plaque on the right, near the Market House, mentions George Pat.... and Randle Ph....
